San Antonio teen could face death penalty for alleged fatal stabbing mother and sister

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio teen who is already facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon has been indicted on capital murder charges for the fatal stabbings of his mother and sister.

The alleged stabbing reportedly took place in the 400 block of Gillette Boulevard on March 12. Police said they arrived at the scene and discovered the bodies of Raquel Hernandez Mojica, 41, and Andrea Hernandez, 22.


The San Antonio Police Department stated that they arrested the suspect, 19-year-old Jose Heriberto Hernandez Jr. at the scene adding that Hernandez “was talking, he was lucid” at the time of the arrest.

If convicted, Hernandez could face either life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
