Kerrville 2-month-old dies on Mother’s Day following Abilene area car accident

KERRVILLE – An accident near Abilene has claimed the life of a 2-month-old child from Kerrville.

The accident, described by authorities as a rollover crash occurred at the intersection of North Colorado Street and the U.S. 84 bypass southeast of Abilene on Sunday, Mother’s Day.


KTXS reported that a 2004 gray Jeep Liberty that was towing a small utility trailer was traveling eastbound on Colorado Street and failed to yield right of way at a stop sign.

It was added by the news station that a 2017 Ford F-150 was traveling southbound on the bypass and crashed into the Jeep which caused the Jeep to roll over into the ditch.

The Jeep contained the 2-month-old along with two adults, identified as Jeremy Ray Lizenbee, 33, and Kendra Robinson, 21, both of Kerrville.


Lizenbee and Robinson were reportedly transported by ambulance to Coleman County Medical Center before they were later taken to Hendrick Medical Center by helicopter.

Authorities added that the child, who was not secured in a car seat, was pronounced deceased.

Coleman Police Department officials stated that the adults were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.


The driver of the 2017 Ford F-150 did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision.
