FREDERICKSBURG – Fredericksburg police are searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run that took place in Fredericksburg on Thursday.

The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 300 block of East Austin Street when an unknown person was driving what was believed to be a black 2008 Ford Edge and struck a young man who was standing outside of his vehicle, said Fredericksburg PD.

The suspect then reportedly failed to stop to render aid and drove away.

Police described that the suspect vehicle is missing the right-side mirror and should have right side damage.

The image below, released by Fredericksburg PD, is similar to what law enforcement believe to be the suspect’s vehicle.
