ANAHUAC, Texas — A woman was reportedly mauled to death by a group of wild hogs outside of a home belonging to an elderly couple she provided care for.

59-year-old Christine Rollins was reportedly discovered by the 84-year-old homeowner, according to the Huffington Post.

Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne told reporters the homeowner became concerned when she did not show up for work on time on Sunday.

Christine’s body was found between her parked car and the home’s front door.

Sheriff Hawthorne said multiple bite wounds of various sizes were on Christine’s body, suggesting multiple animals were involved in the attack.

The Jefferson County Medical Examiner reportedly ruled the cause of death as “exsanguination due to feral hog assault.”
