Video surfaces of three Abilene teens burning chicken to death, Investigators mulling Animal Cruelty charges

ABILENE, Texas (TexasBreaking.com) – Three teenagers could be charged with Animal Cruelty charges after police say that a video surfaced online of them setting fire to a chicken.

Two 17 year old males and a 16 year old male juvenile are seen setting a fowl on fire on a county road and watching it burn to death, according to police.





“The animal appears to have been doused with some kind of accelerant,” according to a press release.

The report says that detectives  became aware of the incident on January 22, 2019, and immediately began an investigation.

The three teens could face State Jail Felony Cruelty to Animal Livestock charges.



The investigation is ongoing.
