UPDATE: More details released on officer involved shooting

UPDATE: More details have been released on the officer involved shooting that took place in Mesquite Saturday afternoon.

According to CBSDFW, an armed suspect driving a stolen vehicle was pursued by police out of Mesquite and into Dallas where the chase ended in a neighborhood.







There the suspect reportedly left the vehicle and attempted to evade officers on foot.

Sources say during the foot chase the suspect pulled out a handgun in the backyard of a home in the 6000 block Lovett Ave.

CBSDFW reports the Mesquite officer involved in the chase then shot the suspect.







The suspect was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

Police say no officers were injured during the incident.







Officials have not yet identified the suspect.

Dallas police are still investigating the incident, Texas Breaking News will keep you updated.

DALLAS Authorities with the Mesquite Police Department have confirmed an officer from their department was involved in a shooting Saturday afternoon.

According to Mesquite PD the shooting took place in the 6000 block of Lovett Ave. in Dallas following an investigation into a stolen vehicle on Samuel Blvd.

Sources at Fox 4 News say a police spokesperson announced that since the shooting took place in Dallas, the Dallas Police Department would be conducting an investigation into the incident.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

2.9 lbs of methamphetamine seized by narcotics deputies, two suspects arrested

Bexar County

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Narcotics deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two suspects following the execution of a search warrant on October 17.

The search warrant took deputies to the 1800 block of Plaza Del Sol on the West Side of San Antonio.







According to sources with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, they discovered 2.9 pounds of methamphetamine, three handguns, narcotic packaging materials, and scales to weigh the drugs.

Suspects Jose DeLeon and Rebecca Ayala were arrested and booked into the Bexar County Jail.

DeLeon was reportedly Charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substances Over 400 Grams.







Ayala was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Possession of a controlled substance Less Than 1 Gram.

The estimated street value of the seized methamphetamine was reportedly $67,300.

Man arrested after allegedly breaking into ex-girlfriend’s home

Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a man after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home on October 18.

Deputies responded to the 13900 block of Oneida Court after receiving a report of a known male banging on the woman’s front door and refusing to leave.







The suspect fled the scene on foot before deputies arrived.

The women told deputies the suspect had broken into her home earlier that day and fled once she told him she contacted law enforcement.

Sources with Constable Herman’s office say deputies searched the area earlier that day but had not been able to locate the suspect.







Deputies were able to obtain a description of the suspect from the woman and located him a short distance away from her home.

The suspect was identified as Cameron Perry and arrested.







He has been booked into the Harris County Jail and Charged with Criminal Trespass of a Habitation.

Sources with Constable Herman’s office say Perry’s bond has not been set at this time.

UPDATE: 16-year old Mauricio Hernandez found safe

UPDATE: According to SAPD, Mauricio Hernandez has been found safe.

No information has been released on how Mauricio was located.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas San Antonio Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Mauricio Hernandez.

According to SAPD Mauricio has a diagnosed medical condition requiring doctor’s care.







Mauricio was last seen in the 9500 block of Silver Crown.

He was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans with brown sandals.







SAPD is urging anyone with information on Mauricio’s whereabouts to contact SAPD’s Missing Person’s Unit at 210-207-7660.
