Two Fredericksburg residents arrested after FPD discovers large amount of marijuana in home

According to a press release from Fredericksburg Police Department released May 8, 2018, on Tuesday, May 8, at 12:30 pm, Fredericksburg Police Department executed a search warrant on Bluebonnet Street in Fredericksburg, which resulted in two drug arrests.

On the morning of May 8th, a detective, who had been investigating suspected drug activity at this residence, detected an odor of marijuana coming from the residence as the homeowner exited the residence to speak to him. At this time, a search warrant was obtained, and the residence was subsequently searched where it was discovered that marijuana was being grown in the residence as well as being processed into a liquid concentrate. Over 7 pounds of marijuana and over 850 grams of concentrated marijuana oils were recovered from the residence.

As a result, the owners of the residence, Brandon Fickel (Age 41) and Mary Fickel (Age 38) were both arrested for manufacture and/or delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2 (more than 400 grams), as well as possession of marijuana (5 pounds to 50 pounds).

Brandon and Mary are currently being housed at Gillespie County Jail.
