Teen allegedly murders a 67-year-old man he met on a social media app

DALLAS – 18-year-old Terrius Randolph has been charged with Capital Murder in Dallas County after he allegedly shot a man on Tuesday, August 20th in the 1500 block of Harbor Drive.

Randolph was exchanging messages with Oluwafemi Joseph Ogundana, 67, on a popular resale app called Letgo.

The Letgo app is an app that allows users to buy and sell items locally, set up a meeting place, and exchange the items for cash, this app is similar to classifieds ads or other apps like Craigslist.

Apparently, Randolph was seen getting into Ogundana’s vehicle when witnesses hear them arguing and one man, “Don’t shoot me.”

According to an affidavit, the witnesses heard several shots before witnessing Randolph leave the vehicle and walk into a nearby residence, apparently owned by Randolph’s mother.

Officers interviews Randolph’s mother and she did disclose that her son is allegedly part of a street gang known as “Jugg Team” informing them, “They jack people.”

An arrest warrant was issued for Randolph on Saturday, August 24th for the murder charge, but according to court records, he is already in Dallas County Jail on unrelated warrants.
