‘Talking Texas Book Club’ kicks off on May 24th

The Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library has announced the formation of the “Talking Texas Book Club” at the Kerr Regional History Center.

This “open” Talking Texas Book Club will allow those interested to attend as often as they choose.

Books with a mixture of topics related to Texas and the Hill Country, including both fiction and non-fiction, will be discussed.

The “Talking Texas Book Club” will start on Thursday, May 24 at 11:30 AM at the Kerr Regional History Center located at 425 Water St in Kerrville.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to attend the first meeting on May 24. At the meeting, the reading list and other details will be talked about.

The first book fiscussion will take place on June 28 and will focus on “The Captured: A True Story of Abduction by Indians on the Texas Frontier” written by Scoot Zesch.

Future meetings will happen on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11:30 AM at the History Center.
