SAN ANTONIO — Interstate Highway 10 is a slow-moving drive during almost every daylight hour between Boerne and San Antonio, but there is relief coming, eventually. . .
TxDot says the 5-mile stretch from La Cantera to Ralph Fair Road should be wrapped up by December 8th, 2019.
The new stretch of interstate will consist of 4 lanes on each side, plus two new High Occupancy lanes in the middle of the highway.
However, the construction between the Ralph Fair Road in Bexar County and Johns Road in Kendall County has a completion date of “To Be Determined.”
The stretch between La Cantera and Ralph Fair Road has a price tag on it of almost 64 million dollars.
The 8.3 mile stretch between the Ralph Fair Road in Bexar County and Johns Road in Kendall County has an estimated cost of 190 million dollars, according to the TxDot website.
There’s no word yet on when the entire construction project will be completed.
