SAN ANTONIO — One person is dead after SAPD and SAFD responded to a call at approximately 1:10pm for a train that struck by an individual in the area of Presa and Conrad, according to SAPD Officer Doug Greene.
The conductor of the train said they saw the individual walking westbound while the train was moving eastbound.
The conductor reportedly blew his horn several times to try and warn the individual on the tracks and applied his emergency brake.
The individual struck was an Hispanic male in his mid 60’s according to SAPD Officer Greene.
SAPD says they don’t expect any foul play in the incident, but they will conduct a full examination as well as the Medical Examiner’s Office.
