SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department is currently searching for a teenager who allegedly shot his 35-year-old father overnight Tuesday, July 2nd, at their Southwest Side residence.
According to officials, police discovered the teen’s father, around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, outside of their residence located in the 5500 block of Hayden Drive, off Old Pearsall Road. Reports state that the man had multiple gunshot wounds to his stomach.
The father was rushed to a local area hospital for treatment and is reported in critical condition. According to family members, they believe the incident was steaming from domestic issues between the father and son.
Apparently, family members stated that things became heated after the father yelled at the teen in front of his friends, telling him to turn down his music. Family members also state that the father was inflicted with five gunshot wounds and was still in surgery as of 5 a.m.
The San Antonio Police Department and family members have spent hours search for the teen throughout the neighborhood and the city, using both family vehicles, patrol cars, and the police helicopter, but they have yet to locate him.
