Officer with Killeen PD indicted on child injury charge

KILLEEN – A police officer with the Killeen Police Department was indicted on Wednesday, June 12 by the Bell County Grand Jury and charged with Injury to a Child, reported the Killeen Police Department.

The report was made with the Harker Heights Police Department, who then informed the Killeen Police Department of the allegations against the officer. The officer was identified by KPD as Officer Sarah Hydorn, a six-year veteran with the department.





KPD said that Hydorn turned herself into the Bell County Jail on Thursday, June 13.

Hydorn was placed on administrative leave without pay due to the incident.

Chief Kimble stated, “This temporary leave is not intended to reflect an opinion on the merits of the case. It is in accordance with Civil Service Law. The department will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter.”



No further information was released about this incident due to the active investigation.
