Officer-involved shooting in Brazoria County leaves deputy’s patrol vehicle damaged

BRAZORIA COUNTY – It was announced by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office that an officer was involved in a shooting that took place on July 16.

BCSO believes the suspect involved in the shooting fired nineteen rounds at or in the direction of the Deputy and even changed his pistol’s magazine during the gunfire.

Images were released by BCSO showing the deputies vehicle which was marked with several pink stick-on arrows where the deputy’s vehicle was hit by the gunfire.

The first image shows the deputy’s Patrol Unit from the scene of the shooting.

BCSO noted that metal rods had been placed in seven bullet holes to better distinguish the bullet hole locations.

Limited information has been released but new details may be released at a later date.
