SAN MARCOS – An alleged murder-suicide is being investigated by police after two Texas State University students were found dead inside a residence in San Marcos on Sunday morning, stated San Marcos law enforcement.

After being dispatched to the 1400 block of Highland Drive on Sunday, May 5, authorities reported that two adults, identified as Matthew Bond Pfluger, 24, and Connor Patrick Shannon, 24, were both found dead.

San Marcos PD said that Pfluger was discovered in the backyard of the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, while Shannon was found inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.

Initially, Pfluger and Shannon were found by friends around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, stated authorities.
