UPDATE – Yesterday evening, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office announced that missing 15-year-old Heather Lavelle Sanders was found safe and reunited with her family.

SAN ANTONIO – Officials with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public to be on the lookout for missing 15-year-old Heather Lavelle Sanders who was last seen on June 22, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m. by family.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Sanders was not found in her room the next morning and is believed to have run away overnight with a black duffel bag.
The teenager was last seen wearing charcoal grey soccer shorts and an unknown color tank top but police believe that she may have changed her clothes prior to leaving her residence.
Sanders is described as being 5’04” tall, weighing 195 pounds with brown hair, and brown eyes with black framed glasses.
“Those found to be harboring Heather may face charges for Harboring a Runaway which is a Class A Misdemeanor punishable up to 1 year in jail with a fine not to exceed $5,000; or can be charged with Interfering with Child Custody which is a State Jail Felony punishable up to 2 years in jail with a fine not to exceed $10,000,” stated BCSO.
