Denton police find missing 2-year-old deceased

UPDATE – It was announced this morning that the Denton Police Department found the 2-year-old Sarbresh Gunrug deceased this morning at approximately 6:00 a.m.

DPD continued to say that there were no obvious signs of trauma but an investigation is currently ongoing.

“Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time,” concluded the Denton Police Department.

DENTON – The Denton Police Department has asked the community to be on the lookout for 2-year-old Sarbresh Gurung who was last seen in his residence in the 2400 block of W. Prairie Street near the University of North Texas on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Denton authorities, his mother said she put him to bed for his nap and when she went to check on him, he was missing.

Sarbresh is described by the Denton PD as being an Asian male toddler said to be wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, dark-colored pants, and green tennis shoes.

This is the shirt Sarbresh Gurung was said to be wearing at the time of his disappearance.

It was noted that Sarbresh’s family is from Nepal and it is unknown if the child speaks English.
