Bill Blackburn was officially sworn into office this morning, as the new mayor of Kerrville. His speech was a message of unity, and asking for prayers so that him and the council can do what is best for the Kerrville community.
At one point, Mayor Blackburn said, “There is so much that we can be unified about, and be positive.” He was speaking about his lunches that he had with other city council members last week and about City Council being unified.
Councilmember Delayne Sigerman was also sworn in at councilmember place 4. “I think we have a great team, and I’m very excited to be serving you,” she said as she took her seat.
