SAN ANONTIO – Back in April 2018, Sylvia Casias was at home in Pleasanton watching her eight grandchildren when two men apparently came in and demanded money, drugs, and jewelry.
According to investigators, when those demands were not met Casias was taken at gunpoint.
Law enforcement, along with the help of a family member, was able to find Casias near Seguin by tracking her with her cell phone.
One of the two men accused in this case is now a convicted kidnapper.
Irving Echeveria-Gutierrez was convicted and sentenced to 18 years in prison by an Atascosa County jury.
Authorities are still looking for the second party involved and have a warrant out for his arrest.
