KERRVILLE, Texas — The murder suspect who was engaged in a standoff with police earlier today has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A press release from the Kerrville Police Department says 45-year-old Fernando Rolon Jr. was found inside the Rio 10 Theater with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Rolon was suspected of fatally shooting a female victim, identified as 38-year-old Melissa Villagrana, in a Walmart parking lot located at 1216 Junction Highway.
