Man arrested after assaulting emergency medical technicians during welfare check

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A male suspect has been arrested and Charged with Assault on a Public Servant after fighting with Emergency Medical Services personnel during a welfare check Friday, October 11.







Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of an intoxicated male fighting EMS personnel in the 24200 block of Rocking Seven Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, EMS personnel who had fled the residence told them they had responded to a welfare check at this residence when the male became combative and began physically assaulting the medical technicians with his fists and feet.

The man was detained and identified as Roger Holloway.







He was taken to a nearby hospital and released back into police custody after being medically cleared.

Holloway is currently being held at the Harris County Jail.







His bond has been set at $2,500.
