KERR COUNTY – Severe storms came into the area on Sunday evening at roughly 10:30 p.m., bringing high winds, heavy rain, lightning, and countywide damage.
Last night, the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning but later on, the warning was downgraded to Severe Storm Warning and it was in effect until 11:45 p.m.
Power outages and hail were reported in Kerr County by several residents, saying the wind was “insane” and the lightning was “beautiful but yet terrifying.”
The next morning the aftermath can be seen all across the county: large trees trunks split in half, business signs missing, and personal property in neighbors’ yards.
One man reported seeing a trampoline in an area where there did not appear to be any houses.
Another Ingram resident reported that her children’s wooden playhouse was ruined, “I’m a little bit heartbroken. My two girls played on it every day. It is a wooden playground that was steaked and cemented into the ground, and it just completely tipped over. The winds must have been pretty fierce to cause this damage.”
