Juvenile Justice Department employee arrested for allegedly having sex with individual in custody

BROWNWOOD – A Juvenile Justice Department deputy inspector has been arrested on allegations of having sex with a suspect in custody, according to officials.

Investigators stated that the incident occurred approximately a month ago at the Brownwood County Jail.

The suspect, named as Daniel Holmes, 34, was said to be a Youth Development Coach at Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex since November 2018.

Holmes was terminated immediately and faces a felony charge, which, if convicted, could result in a two-year sentence.
