Ingram teacher accused of having an improper relationship between educator/student pleads not guilty

After being indicted on April 16 and posting bond on April 23, Tyler Maltsberger appeared in court again on May 17.

According to court documents, the Ingram teacher is accused of an “Improper relationship between educator/student” (statute 21.12) which is a second-degree felony. During his recent court appearance, Maltsberger filed a waiver of arraignment, which included a “not guilty” plea.

As of now, his two pre-trial dates are set for July 26 and August 23 of this year. Maltsberger’s trial by jury date is set for September 24.
