DALLAS – Early Friday morning a 29-year-old man was arrested after a police helicopter chase and a SWAT standoff at a house in Oak Cliff, according to police.

It all started around 4 a.m. when a vehicle with stolen plates was spotted by undercover officers at a residence in the 200 block of N. Albrook Drive. Officers observed the vehicle continuously, after some time four suspects approached and entered the vehicle, three males and one female.

Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over with a traffic stop as the suspects were leaving, but the vehicle fled the scene. The department’s Air One helicopter tailed the suspects throughout the area before the vehicle returned to the residents on N. Albrook Drive and escaped into the home.

According to officers, five people left the resident, but one refused, he was identified as Hector Lara, who locked himself back inside.

At that point, the SWAT team was requested to the home and forced their way inside and arrested the 29-year-old.

Officials have not stated what charges Lana and the others have yet to face.
