Group draws guns on Popeyes employees after being told the restaurant is sold out of chicken sandwiches

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is currently investigating an incident that took place at a Popeyes Monday evening around 8:45 p.m. at 7159 Scott Street.

According to officials, a group of six suspects came into the restaurant requesting the new chicken sandwich, which after two weeks after the company’s launch official sold out.

Houston Police state the suspects pulled out a gun and demanded they wanted the sandwich.

The Popeye’s employees escaped out the back of the restaurant.

Officials state no one was injured during the incident.

The suspects escaped the scene in a blue Chevy Tahoe.
