HOUSTON – The parents of a baby born prematurely are now facing murder charges in connection to their baby’s death.
21-year-old Katharine Wyndham White and 24-year-old Jason Paul Robin have been reportedly charged with Murder and Capital Murder after their 10-week-old daughter, Jazmine Robins, was found dead on July 15th, 2018.
The autopsy showed injuries to Jazmine including bruises to her face and scalp. It is believed that the infant was hit in the head.
The documents also stated that baby Jazmine suffered 96 fractures; 71 of those fractures were located on her rib cage, along with a cracked skull.
The Houston Police were called to Children’s Memorial Hospital by staff who stated the infant had “clearly inflicted head trauma.”
Prosecutors received the final autopsy report in May of 2019.
During the initial investigation, Robins was accused of Murder and White was accused of Injury to a Child by Omission, since then the charges have been upgraded.
