Police seeking identify of person who stole four deposit bags from Fredericksburg gas station


FREDERICKSBURG — Police are seeking to identify a suspect who stole 4 deposit bags from a gas station with an undisclosed amount on money in them September 3rd.

The theft occurred at Short Stop East, a gas station at 1110 East Main Street in Fredericksburg.

It happened around 10:15 am Tuesday, according to FPD. A female entered the store behind the manager who was outside and walked to the area where the deposit bags had been placed on a countertop.

That’s when police say the suspect grabbed all of the bags and walked out the door.

The suspect has a baseball cap on, with her hair possible tucked up. She has on a dark colored bandana with a bright orange Houston Astro’s sweater with a hoodie and pants.

Police say they know the images are grainy, but they hope that someone might recognize the individual in the photos.

Investigators are looking at other video footage and say that they will release more if they find images that might better lead to identification of the suspect.
