Fugitive found by K-9 behind ice machine at hotel, arrest made


HOUSTON – A fugitive is behind bars after leading two San Antonio Police Department North SAFFE Officers on a foot chase while the officers attempted to identify him.

The incident happened yesterday, April 14 at a motel near the San Antonio airport and the suspect involved was identified by SAPD North SAFFE as Brandon Rougeau.

As officers conducted an investigation, Rougeau fled the scene on foot. Along with K-9 officer “Wiley” and his handler Officer Reich, North Patrol A-Shift Officers assisted at the scene.

SAPD North SAFFE stated that Wiley was able to track Rougeau’s scent and found him inside a nearby hotel behind an ice machine.

Upon identifying the male subject, it was learned by SAPD that he was a fugitive from Houston wanted for Felony Theft $30,000 – $150,000.

The man was also charged with evading arrest/detention
