SAN ANTONIO – Tuesday, June 4th, a 34-year-old man died as a result of a fatal motorcycle crash at little before 3 p.m. in the afternoon.

According to San Antonio Police, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Fredericksburg Road to respond to the accident. Justin Samuel Paiz was driving his Honda motorcycle in the southbound lane behind a silver sedan, according to the initial report.

Suddenly the sedan came to a stop, causing Paiz to allegedly lose control of his Honda while attempting to avoid an accident with the vehicle in front of him.

Paiz fell onto the other lane, where he was ran over by a driver in a gold Nissan. The driver did stop and attempt to help Paiz, first responders were able to lift the vehicle off Paiz and remove him from underneath, according to the initial data.

Paiz was rushed to University Hospital for treatment, but he was later pronounced dead, according to officials.

Investigators believe the heavy downpours of rain and the wet roadway played a significant factor in the accident. At this time the police are not expecting to file criminal charges.
