Kerrville Public School Foundation has announced that Lea Anne Duckworth and Kelly Dunigan have earned the title of KISD Teacher of the Year.
Lea Anne Duckworth is a first-grade teacher at Tally Elementary and was named Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Kelly Dunigan teaches physics at Tivy High School and earned Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Kerrville Public School Foundation presented each teacher with a KISD Teacher of the Year T-Shirt, an inscribed crystal apple, and a $2,500 monetary award.
KPSF says, “Hurrah for the awardees and a big thank you to all the teachers of KISD. TEACHERS ROCK!”
The KPSF “program is designed to recognize exceptional classroom teaching within the Kerrville Independent School District. Two Teacher of the Year awards are given: one to a deserving classroom teacher at the Pre-School through Grade 5 level (Elementary Level) and the other to a deserving classroom teacher at the Grade 6 through Grade 12 level (Secondary Level).”
HCBN would also like to congratulate these teachers as well as all the hard-working teachers at KISD.
