SAN ANTONIO – According to the San Antonio Police Department, on Sunday, August 18th, a disagreement at a local area car dealership created a high-speed chase and caused a shooting on the Northwest Side of San Antonio.
Officials state that the drivers of the five vehicles apparently knew each other, they met at a dealership on Bandera Road when the confrontation occurred.
The vehicles left the car dealership and started to pursuit one another, when the pursuit ended, in a neighborhood near Wurzbach and Evers Road, one of the suspects allegedly left their vehicle and fired shots at the vehicle they were chasing, according to authorities.
The victim was hit in the face, either directly by a bullet, was hit by a ricochet off the vehicle, or a bullet fragment.
The victim drove to a local convenient store close by and phoned for help, there the victim was transported to University Hospital and is currently reported in stable condition.
At this time, it is unclear if the police have anyone is in custody, and there is no information on what the cause of the argument. The situation is currently under investigation and there is no other information.
