County wide burn ban still in effect

Published

on

County Commissioners set the burn ban, not the fire departments.

We would like the residents to Kerr County to know that the burn ban is still in effect for all precincts.

Even with the little bit of rain we have gotten it is still not enough to lift it.

First offense for violating the burn ban is a $500 fine.

Also if you leave your fire unattended and it goes to the neighboring property and burns land or dwelling then you can be held responsible for any and all damages.

You can check the burn ban status by calling 830-792-4328. Below is the burn ban guideline book and a Kerr County Precinct map.

The guideline book is available for a PDF download here.
