SAN ANTONIO – A group of children was crossing Austin Highway Wednesday afternoon around 5:20 p.m., when a little girl in the group strayed from the group and was hit by a car.
The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Austin Highway on the Northeast side of San Antonio. Due to conflicting reports, the child’s age is unconfirmed at this time, the child was transported to University Hospital for treatment and was reported in stable condition.
According to police, the child was talking with them when they arrived on the scene and she had no “apparent injuries.”
The driver who hit the girl was not speeding or breaking traffic laws in any way, the woman did stop and attempted to render aid, according to police.
