SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A man who allegedly tried to steal from a Walgreens last night had to receive medical care after he was apprehended by police.
The incident occurred last night at the Walgreens located at the intersection of San Pedro and Hildebrand.
Officers on scene told Texas Breaking News a Sergeant happened to be buying a soda when an employee alerted him to someone trying to steal toiletries from the store.
The store alarms reportedly went off, causing the suspect to run away.
The Sergeant gave chase, eventually tackling the suspect to the ground.
Police say the suspect hit his head when he was tackled and suffered a head injury as a result.
Multiple police units arrived on scene to help detain the suspect, followed by medical personnel.
Texas Breaking News was told the suspect would receive medical attention before being taken into custody.
