EL PASO, Texas — A woman is accused of purposefully hitting a police car while attempting to evade capture on November 21.

21-year-old Brianna Marie Lara allegedly fled from Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) officers in her 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage after they attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

According to KTSM, officers were called to assist with the traffic stop after Lara hit an unmarked TABC vehicle located in the 1700 block of Zaragoza.

Lara allegedly continued to ignore officers’ commands and ran several red lights on Zaragoza before entering I-10 West.

Reports from KTSM say she then veered into a police unit on purpose before hitting the center concrete barrier and coming to a stop.

Lara was reportedly arrested at the scene but was taken to a local hospital.

Sources say she was booked into the El Paso Detention Facility on November 25 after she was released from the hospital.

Lara was Charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant, evading arrest with a vehicle and driving while intoxicated.
