HARRIS COUNTY – It was announced by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that they are searching for a person of interest allegedly involved in an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that left one woman with 10 stab wounds.
On Saturday, July 6, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 7500 block of Stone Pine Lane at approximately 4:00 a.m.
As deputies arrived, they discovered an adult female had been stabbed 10 times, reported HCSO. The woman was transported by Cy Fair EMS to N Cypress Hospital where she underwent surgery but is expected to survive.
The person of interest for this case has been identified as 37-year-old Paul Reyes.

While responding to the scene, Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Omar Diaz suffered from a medical emergency which he later passed away from at a local hospital.
