IRVING – Two suspects have been arrested in connection to a recent case involving human trafficking of a child and compelling prostitution, according to the Irving Police Department.
Irving police detailed the incident in a press release stating, “The victim [a 15-year-old child] was last seen by her mother on April 19th near her home in a neighboring city. On May 2, 2019, officers responded to a call where the victim’s mother, who had been monitoring her daughter’s active email account, reported the account had been accessed in Irving. The same email address had also been used to open an account to solicit sex.”
After the police obtained the information provided by the mother, they were able to locate and rescue the child, Irving PD said.
Two suspects, identified by IPD as Dominique Parks, 29, and Destiny Hansford, 20, were arrested at the scene and charged with trafficking a child and compelling prostitution.
The Irving Police Department added that Parks was also charged with sexual assault of a child and promotion of child pornography.
Two other individuals were arrested as well for unrelated misdemeanors.
It was learned by investigators that the perpetrators allegedly used websites to advertise sexual services to customers while transporting the victim to multiple hotel rooms, said IPD.
The case is still under investigation by the Irving Police Department.
