POLLOCK – Saturday’s storm caused damage across many portions of Texas and resulted in the death of two children.
It was reported by the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office that an 8-year-old and a 3-year-old died after a tree fell due to the strong winds and landed on the back of their family’s car while it was driving.
The parents were sitting in the front seats and were uninjured, reported ACSO.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the two children were pronounced dead at the scene, stated ACSO Captain Alton Lenderman.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm produced an EF-3 tornado with winds up to 140 mph that touched down in Robertson County.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for the boys’ family.
